The Alpha's Role on Sierra
The Alpha wolves of Sierra carry a very important role. They are given almost moderator like abilities for their respective boards. Alpha wolves are the lead wolves of a real-life pack, and I see no reason why they shouldn't be over a fantasy pack as well. Having said that, I have incorporated those ideas right into Sierra as best as I know how.
Starting with the fact that Alpha wolf positions must be applied for, and accepted before a character biography form can be accepted for an alpha wolf. The reason being, Alpha wolves are given moderator type powers on their respective boards. They can delete, edit, move, and recycle post.
The Alpha's day to day duties include keeping up with what is going on in their pack, to make sure there isn't any rule breaking, and being the leader. Unless stated in pack rules, all huge decisions made by pack members must first go through the Alpha wolf.
The Alpha wolf decides who can and cannot join their pack. Don't get me wrong however, Alpha wolves nor any wolf on Sierra is allowed to powerplay, or god-mod.
Once posted, and the form is accepted. The Alpha wolf will be contacted via PM about their responsibilities. They must write up pack laws, that must include how a member might join their pack. All pack rules are separate, and on top of all site rules. The first Alpha to take over a pack, will then pick a board for their pack to call home.
Before a member is allowed to post in the pack's board, they must be accepted by the Alpha wolves.
Once one Alpha wolf has been chosen, the second Alpha wolf must be willing to be mated, to the first Alpha wolf. Pretty much married. It is a dual responsibility.
IF there are any questions concerning Alpha wolves, their role, or your role as a member of the pack, contact your pack leader, or me at midnightofsierra@gmail.com
