Guidebook To Sierra Seasons!
The seasons of Sierra are a bit abnormal from the traditional seasons, of Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter.
On the RPG instead, we have Ayeli, Agasga, Udilegi, Utahisdi, and Uyatla. Instead of lasting 3 months each, like the traditional seasons, the Sierra seasons, only last 2 and a half month's each.
~Sierra practices liquid time, which means while time passes on the site, for things such as age, and pups being birthed, thread's may continue on for months, that only last a few hours of rping time~
Seasons are updated every month, animals must age one year, every time their birth season rolls around.
Ayeli - Is the season the year starts off with.
Ayeli derived from the word "between or central" is a medium season. There isn't a lot of rain or storms, and the temperature stays in the sixties and seventies, breezes are common, but plants are not growing during this season. Wolves are starting to desire a mate, but its nothing unusual for them to wait to mate as well.
Agasga - Is the second season during the year.
Agasga, derived from the word "raining" is the raining season. It is most often raining, and on the colder side. Usually in the late 30's up into the mid fifties range. This is when the plants start to bloom and blossom and grow.
Udilegi - is the third season of the year.
Udilegi derived from the word "hot" and is the hot, growing season. This is when the plants grow to full sized, the pups play and wean. This is often when new dens are built. The weather is hot, and dry, it never rains during this season, the sun beats down unbearably day after day.
Utahisdi - is the forth season of the year.
Utahisdi, was derived from the word "fertile"and is a calm and fertile season. It often has medium weather, and is when the pups are generally born, and the plants have started to seed the ground for the following year. This is when the wolves start lying up a meat supply for the long Uyatla ahead. And other animals start to hibernate.
Uyatla - is the fifth season of the year.
Uyatla was derived from the word, "cold". It is cold, nasty, wet weather. Often full of snow, and ice. The temperature rarely climbs above freezing, and wolves tend to stay tucked away as much as possible.
