Name: Valafar (Vala)

Gender: Male


Breed: Gray Wolf


Element: Dark


Secondary Ability: Has the ability to shift in to a creature of shadow. This form boasts a rather large skull that is surrounded by a loose body of shadows. The shadows take any form that is needed as long as there are enough shadows to provide for the mass of the body wished.

Element Symbol: His symbol is that of Darkness. It rests on his right side near his front leg.


Extra: He has a pair of horns that sprout from his forehead and twist around his ears, his back feet are those of a birds, his tail is long and whip-like with two sharp tips on the end, and feathers adorn his being on the tops of his shoulders and on his cheeks.


Overview: Valafar is dangerous looking to say the least.  He is a bit larger than most wolves, but not staggeringly so.  He has a thin but lean build , so he is light on his feet.  Of course, he does have a slightly awkward gait for his back feet are those of a large birds.  The three digits on each foot allow him to pick things up or pin things down.  They are quite useful in battle.  Along with his odd feet, his tail is long and whip-like and it often dragging behind him if it is not lashing in frustration.  

A few other things about his appearance that are notable would be the two spiraling horns that rest upon his forehead and the feathers that grow from his cheeks and back.  Other than this and his blue markings he would look totally normal.  

His second for is hardly appealing.  His body melts in to shadow and the flesh seems to melt away from his head, leaving a black grinning skull.  His symbol moves from his body to the left eye of the skull, the dot in the middle becoming something of an eye.  This for can take any shape as long as there are enough shadows around the immediate area and as long as his energy is high enough.

Personality: Valafar is brutish, yet gentle.  This male will not hesitate to take down anyone who tries to defy law in the pack, displays of dominance are common.  And yet, you can also find him relaxing with his pack mates passing along kind words and warm gestures.    He is especially gentle with Caligine and can often be seen enjoying her company.

This wolf also has a bit of a temper on him.  His patience wears thin very easily, leading him to snap although he generally avoids physically harming those packmates who test him repeatedly, he may slip up once and a while.  It is usually when he has to repeat himself many times that he finds himself raging.   Headstrong and loyal are also a few more words to describe him.  Never would he back down from a fight and never would he abandon his pack for anything.

Companion: Babael, a black male rabbit with blue feathers along the top of his head, his paw pads are also blue like Valafar’s.

Overview:  Valafar was born to his mother bathed in the light of a full moon.  It was a rather chilly spring evening and the rain was pouring down relentlessly.  This fellows first sound was that of thunder, which is why he hates thunerstorms now.  It may seem odd, seeing that he is grown.  But, it just sends chills down his body.  It just wasn't something he grew out of.

Vala grew up quickly, soon finding his power and finding an immense amount of joy in using it.  It was not long before he found himself playing tricks on his siblings and parents.  They soon grew tired of his playfullness and started snapping at him more and more often.  He figured out it would be best to cease his childish ways.

One day he stumbled across the Alphas daughter.  The two of them had some rocky moments.  Vala would constantly find Cali and pester her just to see if he could get on her nerves.  All in all, he has a few smart words thrown at him but nothing more.  But the male did enjoy the attention seeing that others found him weird in appearance.  

A few years passed and the two of them had grown clsoer, but she had found someone to father her pups.  For a while, Valafar did not care much, but he soon found himself becoming jealous of the two.  He didn't let it show and instead just remained close to her.  

It was soon after Cali had given birth that the Death Wolves attacked.  The fight was brutal and seemed to have no end.  Vala fought viciously to protect his pack, but it seemed no one could save their Alpha from his fate.  Caligine had conjured a wild beast that sent the Death Wolves running with their tail between their legs.  Vala had been watching from a distance in awe, and it was from this distance that he saw her collapse after the conjuring.

He had called for the healers and a week later she rose from her death bed, ready to take the lead of the Dark Pack.  The wolf who had fathered the Alphesses pup had disappeared.  His body was not found and no one was sure what had happened to him.   Of course, it was not until much later after months and months of grieving that Valafar soon rose to rule along side Caligine.
